They most certainly did shock the world.
For almost 3 weeks my life has been all about the shockers. I've been pretty tired as of late because all I've been doing is figuring out what next thing we could do to support the team and what new gif we could put up. The night they beat Gonzaga I didn't have a gif so I went to a "keep calm" generated site and made one that said "Keep Calm and Shock the World". I picked "world" because it seemed more big than "shock the nation".
200,000 views later I'm still shocked to see people retweeting it and saying it. The city came together in a way I haven't seen and I'm so very sad it's over. I've always been a KU fan for personal reasons(the day they won the championship is the day I found out I was #1 in the ratings for the first time) but I've ALWAYS been a fan of the shockers. Granted a few years ago there were some players I was NOT fond of because they were rude to me but they are not on this team and coach marshall is a coach I admire. I'm so very proud to live in this city and it was SO GREAT to see KSU and KU fans support the Shockers.
I'm sad but I'm grateful for the ride. Can't wait for what's next.
